College of Applied Technical Sciences Niš – VTSNIS

The College of Applied Technical Sciences Niš is in the south-east of Serbia, founded in 1976. VTSNIS is public high educational institution, financing from the budget of the Republic of Serbia and the income from tuition fees. Over the years, it has developed into an educational and professional institution of high reputation with about 20000 graduated students. The VTSNIS offers 6 Bachelor programs in 4 areas (mechanical engineering, environmental protection, road traffic, electrical engineering and construction engineering) and 5 one-year vocational Specialist programs in 4 areas (environmental protection, road traffic, electrical engineering and construction engineering), all accredited by the National HE

Accreditation Commission in 2012. The VTSNIS employs 13 professors, 14 lecturers and 10 assistants on full-time basis. The intake is 360 undergraduate and 128 specialist postgraduate students per annum.

The main objective of the VTSNIS is to provide the acquisition of the latest scientific and professional knowledge in technical engineering as well as applied skills and competencies required by the labour market. It promotes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programmes leading towards the new professions created in the technological era, and incorporates students as partners in the educational process. The VTSNIS was participated in Tempus project no. 158781-TEMPUS-RS-TEMPUS-JPHES successfully finished and still partisipates in three Tempus projects: no. 517153-TEMPUS-1-2011-1-DETEMPUS-JPGR, no. 517200-TEMPUS-1-2011-1-BETEMPUS and no. 530577-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-RS- TEMPUS-JPCR.
